Although the idea of using natural oils to cleanse the skin sounds a little bit unreasonable, actually makes a lot of sense. The idea of OCM is to use natural oils in specific combination to cleanse the skin and naturally balance the skin’s natural oils. This produces much more nourished and moisturized skin that traditional facial cleaners don’t.
How does it work?
The basic and most important is Castor oil. Castor oil has potent healing, cleansing, and anti-inflammatory properties. But, since castor oil is so thick and its cleansing properties are so strong, it should be mixed with another oil, thinner in consistency, but no less nurturing to the skin.
Here are a few of them:
Jojoba Oil-it is full of vitamins and minerals that boost general skin health.
Coconut Oil- it is a very good choice for very dry skin.
Olive Oil-is an extremely hydrating oil rich in fatty acids, also it’s great for very dry skin.
Argan Oil- it is high in Vitamin E and is great as a moisturizer leaving luxurious feel on the skin.
Almond Oil-it is the best carrier oil for face cleansing if you do not want to use castor oil and it is great option for acne-prone skin. At the same time, it’s delightfully moisturizing for dry skin.
Sunflower Oil-it is used especially for acne-prone skin but, even if you are not an acne sufferer, you can benefit from the anti-inflammatory properties of linoleic acid contained in this oil.
