Who wouldn’t want to just relax in a peaceful place with candles and chill-out music?
Well that is what you can do next weekend.
Pick a day and make sure that that day everybody will go out. Then do an appointment with yourself in your bathroom. Make a relaxing atmosphere by turning off the lights and light up some candles and play some relaxing music.
Start the DIY spa treatment with cleansing the pores. Use a gentle cleanser and warm water. Rosewater, coconut milk or soya-based cleansers are less irritating to the skin.
After you cleaned your face try facial steaming. Green tea, rosemary, thyme or mint herbs are great for rejuvenating steam. Let your skin absorb the steam for 5-10 minutes. The steam will open the pores that you can clean with a cleansing toner.
Remove the dead skin cells and unclog pores by gently rubbing a facial scrub into your face in a circular motion (don’t scrub too roughly although). Also, don’t forget to scrub your chapped lips with lip scrub.
On a clean skin apply moisturizing, hydrating or anti-age facial mask. And relax for 15-30 minutes. On this point is allowed to fall asleep. (ha-ha!)
After you removed this facial mask it’s time for calming the skin and reducing the redness with a gentle calming mask. Make sure to rinse it well and pat dry after 10-15 minutes.
At the end moisturize your skin. Complete your spa treatment with emollient-rich moisturizer, find moisturizers with Hyaluronic acid, retinol or alpha lipoic acid.
And you are done. We hope that you will feel great and relaxed after this treatment.
By the way: don’t forget to put on your sun screen if you are willing to go out after the treatment.
