Choose the right ingredients for every skin type

Whether you have dry, sensitive, acne-prone, or oily skin, with consistent use of the right ingredients for your skin type, you can begin to see real results in no time.

Oily Skin

Always look for cleansing, toning, and moisturizing products that contain salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and benzoyl peroxide. All of these ingredients can help increase cell turnover, allowing the skin’s moisture levels and texture to even out. But, to maintain the hydration use a hyaluronic acid-based moisturizer.

Dry Skin

Dehydration and dryness can increase the appearance of wrinkles, making them look bigger than they are. Use of moisturizers can diminish them by plumping up the skin cells with hydration. But, avoid anti-aging products that contain popular alpha and beta hydroxyl acids like glycolic acid and citric acid – they can dry the skin out even more, instead use antioxidants like vitamin E and hyaluronic acid.

Acne-Prone Skin

Light, oil-free products are a must for this skin type. Look for acne-fighters like salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and retinol in products. They can keep pores clean and breakouts at bay and make the skin look younger.

Normal Skin

Skin that doesn’t get overly shiny or dry is considered normal. Use a cleanser with an alpha hydroxyl acid, glycolic or lactic acid to turn over the top layer of the skin, followed by serum or moisturizer that contains powerful antioxidants like vitamins C and E, green tea, grapeseed extract, or argan oil. This will create a healthy glow.

Sensitive Skin

When the skin easily gets redness and feelings of stinging, burning, or itching, then it is sensitive. So, clean with a soothing wash to get rid of skin pollutants. Moisturize with products that contain anti-inflammatory antioxidants, like chamomile, aloe, or oatmeal, which are all hydrating and calming. And always look for “sulfate-free,” “fragrance-free,” and “alcohol-free” to help keep sensitive skin undisturbed.
